History

Papilio Mansion is an architectural gem that is over a hundred years old and is protected by the National Institute of Anthropology and History for its heritage value.

The mansion was built by a French family who, upon emigrating to Mexico, wanted to bring a piece of their homeland with them. To that end, they hired an architect from their home country, who designed this elegant residence as a tribute to the French architecture of the time.

Today, Enrique Papilio II, your host, extends a warm welcome to you all. He is delighted to open the doors of this mansion to you and share with you the years of work he has dedicated to its restoration.

Papilio Mansion is also home to majestic peacocks, a friendly cat named Picasso, and a giant tortoise.

The Setting for Great Stories

The architecture and character of Mansión Papilio have made it a favored setting for renowned brands, production companies, and media outlets.

It has served as a filming location for productions such as *Nadie nos vio partir*, *Las Aparicio*, *Cuando el viento tiene miedo*, *El juego de las Llaves*, *La Doña*, and *Casi el Paraíso*, as well as for music videos such as Belinda’s “La Cuadrada.”

Brands and publications such as Chanel, Vogue, Caras, Panorama, and El Heraldo—featuring personalities like Sebastián Rulli—have found the mansion to be the perfect setting for their editorials and photo shoots.

It has also hosted events and photo shoots for brands such as Intimissimi, Fujifilm, Palacio de Hierro, and Liverpool, establishing itself as a space where history and aesthetics take center stage.

More than just a venue, Mansión Papilio is a living stage where stories are told that will endure.
